BLCP's CSR projects
BLCP has implemented over 20 CSR projects covering 38 communities and 12 fishing groups in the area around the plant. These projects are divided into three main categories:
Income-generating and employment-promotion projects, such as supporting the laundry service for employees through the Payun Small Boat Fishing Community Laundry Service Group, a project to care for the green space within BLCP; a project to raise hanging mussels, an organic farming project using the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy to generate income from the sale of pesticide-free fruits, and a recycling waste project to exchange for safe vegetables.
Education-promotion projects, such as accepting interns from Map Ta Phut Technical College in the project to promote and develop the skills of technical engineers in the field of control engineering (V-EsEPC), Map Ta Phut Technical College, providing scholarships through the "BLCP's Good Students" project, and organizing the BLCP Junior Tour Guide project.
Healthcare-promotion projects. BLCP is one of five industrial firms in the Map Ta Phut area that has established a non-profit organization called the "Community Friends Association". The association's main project is the Thammasat Community Friends Model, which has partnered with Thammasat University to promote local economies for community enterprises in the area since 2016. Until now, the project has benefited 52 groups and generated income for the community. The association also has a continuing healthcare scholarship program (nursing scholarship to rehabilitate and care for the elderly) in collaboration with the Rayong Provincial Administrative Organization, Burapha University, and the Taksin Rayong Foundation.
The company has implemented a variety of CSR projects, covering income generation and employment, education, and healthcare. BLCP is committed to operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner for sustainable development under the principles of ESG (Environment, Social, Governance). This is reflected in the awards that BLCP has received this year the "Prime Minister's Industry Award 2023" in the category of social responsibility from the Ministry of Industry. This award reflects BLCP's ongoing commitment to operating in a socially and environmentally responsible manner.
